- 2.4Theoretical introduction: Seville as a European microcosm: Roman, Islamic, Jewish and Christian city; a place of coexistence, tensions and cultural synthesis.
- 2.5Introductory tour: tour of the historic centre with key stops (Plaza Nueva, exterior of the Cathedral, Santa Cruz neighbourhood, Archivo de Indias). Theme: How does the coexistence of different peoples in Seville connect with the construction of a diverse Europe?
- Day 2From Al-Andalus to Christian Seville3
- 3.1Theoretical session (1 hour): Almohad splendour: Seville as a link between the Maghreb and the Middle East. Mudejar art: an expression of artistic fusion under Christian rule. European Gothic in Seville: the city connected to the continent.
- 3.2Guided itinerary: Torre del Oro (river defence and Islamic symbol). Monastery of Santa Clara and San Clemente (example of conventual Seville, a mixture of Mudejar and Gothic styles).
- 3.3Optional activity (afternoon, separate cost): Cathedral: European Gothic reinterpreted in Sevillian style. Alcázar: multiculturalism made architecture (Christian space built on Islamic roots, with Mudejar artists).
- Day 3The splendour of Seville's Baroque architecture3
- 4.1Theoretical session (1 hour): Baroque architecture: Seville as a centre of spiritual and economic power in the 17th century. Baroque painting: Murillo, Zurbarán and Valdés Leal, European influences and international projection.
- 4.2Visits: Church of San José (Baroque gem). Church of La Magdalena (fusion of styles and Baroque splendour). Museum of Fine Arts: European dialogue through Sevillian Baroque painting.

- Day 4Andalusian regionalism and Seville in the 20th century3
- 5.1Theoretical session (1 hour): Seville’s opening up to the world in the 20th century. Regionalism as a modern reinterpretation of cultural heritage.
- 5.2Visits: The Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929: Plaza de España, Casino and the Queen’s Sewing Room. Seville as an international host city. Visit to the IAPH (Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage): conservation and dissemination of heritage with a European perspective.
