What the Job Shadowing experience involves
Job Shadowing is a mobility programme funded by Key Action 1 (KA1) of the Erasmus+ programme, aimed at teachers and educational staff. It consists of a training stay at a school in another country to observe the work of professionals in the same field.
During the programme, participants will engage in activities such as:
- Observing classes and educational practices.
- Analysing methodologies, materials and work dynamics.
- Meeting with teaching staff and the centre’s team.
- Reflecting on what they have learnt and possible adaptations to the context of their home centre.
The experience is aimed at:
- Pre-school, primary and secondary school teachers
- Vocational education and training (VET) teachers
- School principals
- Non-teaching staff with educational duties (guidance, teaching support, coordination, etc.)
Day by day mobility of Job Shadowing
Although the duration of the Job Shadowing mobility programme is defined according to the approved project and training plan, the experience is usually organised over 1 or 2 weeks.

Job Shadowing sectors available in Granada
The experience can be organised according to the educational level of the host centre and the participant’s profile. In Granada, we can focus mobility on the following sectors:
Pre-school education
This normally comprises children aged 0 to 6 and is divided into two cycles:
- First cycle: 0–3 years
- Second cycle: 3–6 years old
Primary education
Primary education in Spain normally comprises students between the ages of 6 and 12.
Secondary education
Compulsory secondary education normally comprises students between the ages of 12 and 16.
Bachillerato ( Baccalaurate)
Comprises students between the ages of 16 and 18 and is not compulsory. It is geared towards preparing students for university studies.
VET
Vocational training is aimed at students aged 16 and over and may also include adult learners. It is equivalent to technical or vocational education in other countries.

Job Shadowing in Granada
